Smriti Dwar being built in memory of CDS General Bipin Rawat in Rishikesh, Mayor Anita Mamgain laid the foundation stone

Mayor Anita Mamgain performed Bhoomi Pujan of Smriti Dwar built in the memory of CDS General Bipin Rawat near IDPL Gate Hanuman Mandir in Rishikesh amid Vedic chanting. On this occasion, Mayor said that even though CDS General Rawat is not among us today, but he will always live in the hearts of every citizen of India.

It has been a month since the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. On 8 December, an MI17 helicopter carrying CDS General Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 12 other army personnel crashed. All 14 people died in this accident. Paying tribute to the son of Uttarakhand, CDS General Bipin Rawat, the Rishikesh Municipal Corporation is building a memorial gate in his memory. On Saturday Rishikesh Mayor Anita Mamgain laid the foundation stone of Smriti Dwar to be built in the memory of General Rawat. Amid heavy rains, Mayor Anita Mamgain laid the foundation stone of Smriti Dwar by worshiping the land. During this, the people present kept shouting slogans of Bipin Rawat Amar Rahe.

Near IDPL Gate Hanuman Mandir, the Mayor performed Bhoomi Pujan of Smriti Dwar built in the memory of CDS General Bipin Rawat amid Vedic chanting. On this occasion, Mayor said that even though CDS General Rawat is not among us today, but he will always live in the hearts of every citizen of India. The people of the country will never forget his contribution towards the nation. His memories will always guide the brave soldiers of the nation and the country.

The Mayor said that India’s first Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat remained a trustworthy name amidst the big challenge to the country’s security from neighbors with nefarious intentions like China and Pakistan. First as Army Chief and then as CDS, he took India’s military preparedness to new heights to fight the enemies. The Mayor said that the memorial gate to be built in his memory will be built with full grandeur. Glimpses of his personality will be shown through his paintings so that every person passing by can take inspiration from the great son of the country, the proud martyr of Uttarakhand, General Bipin Rawat. On this occasion, Assistant Engineer Anand Mishrawan, Councilor Manish Banwal, Vipin Pant, Vijay Badoni, Bijendra Mogha, Gurvinder Singh Guri, Kamala Gunsola, Ravi Sharma, Yeswant Rawat, Rupesh Gupta, Harsh Vyas, Ranjan Anthwal, Rekha Sajwan, Rajesh Gautam, Dinesh Bisht, Rinki Rana, Sanjay Bisht, Akshay Kaushik, Sanitation Inspector Dhirendra Semwal, Abhishek Malhotra etc. were prominently present.
