About

GBR Memorial Foundation of India

The main reason for sowing the seeds of the GBR Memorial Foundation of India is to create a platform for imparting free training to underprivileged talented youth to become officers in the Indian Armed Forces and Civil Services to accomplish the vision of the Late General Bipin Rawat.

The vision of the GBR Memorial Foundation of India is to identify underprivileged meritorious aspirants for military/armed forces and to groom them to crack prestigious exams such as NDA, NA, CDS, UPSC… etc. The aspirants would be provided free coaching, food and accommodation, whilst they undergo the preparation for these competitive exams.

Our primary vision is to provide a platform to underprivileged talented young students who cannot afford expensive coaching, due to their weak economic conditions as well as a lack of guidance.

Free Training for Underprivileged Youth

Objectives

  1. Identification, support and upliftment of underprivileged young talent.
  2. Uplift the youth of remote areas by providing them free training, accommodation and food, in order to groom them to become officers in the Indian Armed Forces and Civil Services.
  3. Groom the students in terms of academics and personality development, along the lines of Military schools and Officers’ Academies.
  4. Promoting moral education among children so as to make them responsible citizens.
  5. Moreover, it will provide vocational training to the youth to reduce their skill gap which will help them fetch better jobs or start their own enterprise. By enhancing entrepreneurship levels in Uttarakhand, we would also be able to address the problem of mass migration from the remote areas of the state, which was a great cause of concern for late Gen Bipin Rawat.
  6. To bring social & economic reforms in rural Uttarakhand, as envisioned by Gen Bipin Rawat, for his home state.
  7. To propagate Gen Bipin Rawat’s message of Naam, Namak, Nishan, Vafadari & Izzat, amongst the youth for solidifying their moral fibre.
  8. To organize Gen Bipin Rawat Memorial Lecture every year in different parts of country.

Strategy

To accomplish the objective and vision of
GBR Memorial Foundation of India, we would identify talented bunch of students from impoverished sections of rural Uttarakhand and hone their skills by providing them conducive environment and shape them for cracking India’s most prestigious exams like NDA/CDS/IAS/IPS and other UPSC competitive exams. We would offer them free accomodation, training and food in General Bipin Rawat Academy at  New Delhi . The students would be   provided with world-class teaching facility free of cost, so that they can realise their dream and also of Gen Bipin Rawat. Their success will not just change their lifes but will also help in economic upliftment of their families.

To begin with, we will identify one bright student from each of 13 districts of Uttarkhand, who are from the economically weak background.

The selected students, after a complete background check, will subsequently be inducted for a 04 month coaching programme. The students will get regular mentoring from distinguished names across the professional specturam.
